And now......to meet your Guide Along The Way.......Panda Dreams

My day began as a humble page in a child's colouring book.....Do I look like I am going to be the hero of this story?  No?  Well, look again....can't you see me resting on a block made up of cut up dress into 2.5" squares and sewn together in nice straight rows?

Look carefully,,,,,isn't this going to be the most wonder piece of blue taffida tuxedo you ever saw?  Can't you visualize one of the bows from the back of the wedding dress becoming my bowtie?

What, you can't visualize all these things?  I sit here in black and white (pun intended) as a super cuddly teddybear.......no make that PANDA BEAR.....just watch and see.

Oh yes, my sympathies go to that wonderful wedding dress as I've heard mumbles from the quilting artist that that dress will be robbed of all trim, jewels, buttons and bows, and the remaining parts will be cut with a nice sharp rotary cutter that you've ever seen.....and slice, slice, slice....the life of the wedding party has, or will soon come to an end.

Stay tuned and be part of my new look and life.

And more paper work,

What more paper work....the top photo shows some rough sketches, curves, designs, and two typed pages listing all the required blocks and giving them a home space on the next two design sheets.....stay tuned, there is more technical stuff to come before you get to meet me.

Getting started

Here you see my humble beginnings. A piece of graph paper and some scribbled measurements....oh what is to become of me?
My journey began with Emily August 1999, Ahh the wedding is over,,,,my life as a beautiful memory is ending. Tonight the dance, tomorrow the cedar chest......I had a wonderful day in the sun, and with so many people admiring me.  Isn't this just the best life when you are a Wedding Dress?

Please come along with me and see what a creative Mother did to change my perspective after the wedding bliss was over.
Yards and yards of polyester satin, and see all the lace inserts...
.beads, sequins, and the tiniest little white buttons you ever saw.
What a lovely smile, and it lasted the whole day long
